QU15 Scottish Christening Quaich

The quaich is used as a loving cup in Scotland and is given as a gift at weddings and christenings and many other occasions.

The Scottish inscription on this quaich 'Nuadh Breith' means 'New Born'. The triscele in the centre is an ancient Celtic symbol of union and represents the trinity of Father, Mother and Child.
