Cornish Pasty Tin Pendantwith complementing sterling silver chain. Cornish Diamond Tin Collection made from 100% Cornish Shipwreck Tin from the SS Liverpool which sank in 1863.
The molten tin is poured into moulds made by Cornish craftsmen and fettled, polished and finally assembled in a Penzance workshop. 19th century Cornish tin miners favoured a pasty for daily 'croust' (lunch). They rarely contained meat in those days and were usually made with potato, 'rooties' (swede turnip) and pilchards.
